Ms. Promila Malik is an accomplished development and environmental health expert with over 20 years of experience leading high-impact initiatives across India. She currently serves as Managing Trustee of Trisakha Foundation, guiding its strategic vision across Education, Empowerment, and Environmental Sustainability. She is skilled in designing evidence-based interventions, fostering multi-stakeholder collaborations, and advising NGOs, institutions, and government departments to achieve lasting social and environmental impact.
Ms. Promila also served as a Country Programs Manager at Pure Earth (formerly Blacksmith Institute), where she led projects addressing industrial pollution and public health risks, including pioneering lead risk reduction initiatives in Bihar and Tamil Nadu and the first Lead Source Apportionment Study in India. Her early work with CRY, Pragya, and Liberty Institute focused on child rights, sustainable Himalayan development, and research on environmental and economic policy. She holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from GJU, Hisar, and a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences from Kurukshetra University.
