Lead exposure is a silent yet serious public health threat in India, affecting millions of children across the country. To address this critical issue, Pahlé India Foundation convened a multi-stakeholder consultation on 1st October 2025, bringing together experts, policymakers and partners to share insights, tackle challenges and coordinate strategies for eliminating lead exposure nationwide
The consultation brought together leaders and experts from Vital Strategies, Toxics Link, Global Development Incubator, Lead Exposure Elimination Project, Pure Earth, UNICEF, WHO and the Clinton Health Access Initiative. Participants shared insights, identified challenges and explored opportunities for collective action to address lead exposure in India more effectively.
The discussion concluded with a shared commitment to advance an evidence-based, collaborative framework to combat lead exposure, renewing momentum toward a lead-safe future for all.
